Heidelberg Seminar on Optimal Control

Description

This seminars aims at bringing researchers in optimal control and numerical mathematics together for a week of recent research results, collaboration and – most importantly – ample time for in-depth discussions. Additionally, snowboarding as well as cross-country and alpine skiing can be practiced (or learned) on site.

Organization

The seminar has previously been organized by Roland Herzog’s numerical mathematics group at the TU Chemnitz and has since moved to his Scientific Computing and Optimization group at the University of Heidelberg. Feel free to visit last year’s edition’s website here.

Location and housing

The seminar will again take place at Hotel Gürtl" (" Hotel on google maps) in Haus im Ennstal, Austria. The cost per participant is dependent on the chosen rooming option and this year’s pricing is comprised of the following:

  • Accomodation including breakfast and dinner per person and night at
    • 134€ in a “comfort” double room when shared
    • 152€ in a standard double room in single configuration
  • 15€ seminar attendancy fee per day and person (max of 5 days) and
  • 2,50€ per night local overnight tax.
