Description
Numerik im Ländle is a regional workshop series that brings together researchers from Baden-Württemberg and the surrounding region who are interested in the development and analysis of numerical methods for problems primarily in the natural and engineering sciences. The workshop offers two days of invited and contributed talks paired with ample time for discussion in a relaxed setting to exchange recent results, foster collaborations and connect the numerical mathematics community across the Ländle.
The workshop welcomes contributions from all areas of numerical mathematics and scientific computing. Young researchers are especially encouraged to present their work.
Organization
The 2027 edition is organized by the Scientific Computing and Optimization group at Heidelberg University. Previous editions were hosted by the University of Freiburg (Numerik in BaWü 2023) and the University of Stuttgart (Numerik im Ländle 2025).
Location and Venue
The workshop takes place at the Mathematikon (INF 205) on the campus “Im Neuenheimer Feld” of Heidelberg University.
Program
The (tentative) scientific program begins on Tuesday, 4 May 2027 in the morning and runs until the afternoon of Wednesday, 5 May 2027. A single invited lecture opens each day, followed by contributed talks and dedicated discussion slots.

Coffee ☕ is served at registration, during the coffee breaks and after lunch. Light snacks will be available at the coffee breaks and To-Go at the end of the event.
Participation and Registration
