Job Opening: Optimization and Visualization Support Systems for Cardiac Arrhythmia Management (Ph.D.)

The Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg at Heidelberg University is opening a fixed-term position from 01.02.2022 until 30.11.2023. The position is intended for a Ph.D. student. Applicants are expected to have a degree in mathematics, computer science or physics. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.

The successful candidate will work on the project Optimization and Visualization Support Systems for Cardiac Arrhythmia Management led by Ann-Kathrin Rahm in cooperation with Roland Herzog. The candidate’s duties include the export of cardiac CT and MRT 3D data sets for integrated image fusion and optimization of cardiac radiation therapy planning. This project is part of the Informatics 4 Life, a major initiative founded by the Klaus Tschira Foundation.

The base salary for this position is according to 50% within the TVL E13 pay scale, which amounts to at least 24 400 € p.a. before taxes.
